Twenty years ago, Susan left her husband after a rocky marriage. Now, he has contacted her in order to get her opinion on the novel he plans to publish. She agrees to read the book but finds herself deeply troubled by the similarities between herself and the main character. As she reads, she is forced to deal with the submerged issues from her dark past with her husband, and she finds herself wondering whether there is more to his thriller than meets the eye. Is it possible that he is using this book as an elaborate threat on her life?
