Ray Breslin is a man who has a specialty in high demand. He devotes his time to making sure that prisons are secure. He attributes this obsession with security to the mysterious death of his child and his wife in the past. He studies prisons intently and designs new ones in such a way that they are escape-proof. He receives the offer of a huge sum of money to test the security of a secret prison, a task that involves him being arrested under a false identity so that he can attempt to break out. Things do not proceed according to plan, and he realizes that he may need to stage a prison break for his own sake, as he seems to have been hoodwinked.
