In this science fiction romantic drama, Silas (Nicholas Hoult), an illustrator, and Nia (Kristen Stewart), his co-worker, live in a world without human emotion. Everyone lives in peace in this supposed Utopia. That is, until Silas becomes infected with a terrible disease- emotions. He finds himself being drawn to Nia, who is also infected, but hides it in order to avoid becoming an outcast. In order to survive, they have to escape together to a safer place.
