Gru decides to make jam with Dr. Nefario and his two minions after he leaves his life of crime. When Dr. Nefario becomes dissatisfied with his position, he seeks a more evil way of life. Meanwhile, the Anti-Villain League asks Gru to help them catch the thief who stole a serum that has the power to turn defenseless animals into beasts. During all this, Gru becomes concerned about his oldest daughter Margo's recent infatuation with bad boy Antonio. Gru is torn and must learn to juggle his time between stopping disastrous plots and keeping his daughter from getting hurt. Little does Gru know that there are more surprises headed his way.
