American president Franklin D. Roosevelt orders a specialized military task force to assemble near the end of World War II. The squad is composed of seven museum curators and art specialists. Adolf Hitler, sensing an inevitable defeat at the hands of the Allies, instructs the Third Reich to destroy all captured artwork in an effort to eliminate more than 1,000 years of world history and culture. The ragtag American unit must sneak behind enemy lines in Germany and save the artwork from destruction.
