Prometheus [Movies Anywhere HD, Vudu HD or iTunes HD via Movies Anywhere]

A prequel to the highly successful Alien franchise, Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" is the story of the ship that first traveled to a faraway world on a secret mission led by the Weyland-Yutani corporation. In the distant future, space travel has been perfected and the crew is even accompanied by a lifelike android, also known as a "Synthetic." Upon reaching their destination, the crew finds that they are not alone, and are among the remnants of a much older civilization that may have been responsible for the creation of life on Earth. All is not as it seems, however, as the crew inadvertently awakens an array of deadly biological weapons that attack the crew. As events continue to unravel, the true reason for the mission and its ultimate futility are revealed.
